Our mission at Quidnick Baptist Church is to teach the believer the plan and will of God for his life for his edification and for the most accurate presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the unbeliever. This is accomplished through exegetical and expository communication of Bible truth, from the original languages of the Scriptures.
The Church has been given the mission—to “make disciples” MATTHEW 28:19 “ Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Disciple-making is achieved in three parts: tell them, train them and encourage them:
Tell them: We believe in “witnessing for Christ.” The most effective way to reach the unbeliever is to introduce him to the Person and work of Jesus Christ as Creator and Savior through His substitutionary sacrificial death on the cross on his behalf.
Train them: 2nd Peter 3:18 states that we are to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.” This is accomplished by the daily intake of the Word of God and applying it to every aspect of life. This creates an understanding of and appreciation for God and His grace plan which leads to a ‘relaxed urgency’ in fulfilling God’s purpose.
Encourage them: All believers are called to be full-time servants of Jesus Christ. Christian service is the result of spiritual momentum, but never the means of momentum. We will all stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ in a resurrection body and be evaluated and our production on earth will be an issue 1st Cor. 3:11-15.
Each believer has a spiritual gift for a personal role in the plan of God. The body of Christ is a team of believers working together. The Christian’s spiritual gift is his position on the team. No position is any greater than another. “A player that makes a team great is much more valuable than a great player.” John Wooden
Since the Word of God is the final authority regarding the righteousness and justice of God, it is our text book for an accurate, productive and rewarding Christian life.
The goal of Quidnick Baptist Church is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. To accomplish this goal, we rely on the Spirit of God to motivate the grace-giving of believers whom God is pleased to include on His team. QBC does not charge for any recorded materials produced by the Church. Bible teaching is available to all who seek after God, regardless of their financial ability to purchase materials. God has demonstrated His grace in “freely giving us all things” and we desire to reflect His grace.
It is further our goal to be “readily available to give an answer for the hope that lies within us.” With the Word of God as our compass and the Spirit of God as the source of our enabling power, we will succeed.
